Alcohol Free Directory is operated by Samantha Morgan, a sole trader based in England. By using this site, browsing, creating an account, submitting a listing, or purchasing any service from us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Using the Site

Browsing and searching the directory is free.
Some categories are free to list in (Support & Recovery will always be free). Other categories require a paid subscription.
Every listing is reviewed before it goes live. We may decline, edit for formatting, suspend, or remove a listing at our discretion where we believe it is inaccurate, misleading, inappropriate, unlawful, or otherwise breaches these terms.

Privacy

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under UK data protection law.

Listings Are Self-Submitted

Businesses and individuals create and manage their own listings.
We do not independently verify claims, qualifications, memberships, registrations, licences, credentials, testimonials, or other information contained within listings.
If you believe any content is inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate, please contact us at samantha@idinclusion.org.

Reviews & Testimonials

We may allow users to submit reviews, ratings, testimonials, comments, or other feedback about listed businesses and services.
Reviews represent the opinions of the individuals who submit them and do not represent the views of Alcohol Free Directory.
We do not routinely verify reviews and cannot guarantee that reviews are accurate, complete, genuine, or current.
We reserve the right, at our discretion, to remove, refuse to publish, edit for formatting, or moderate reviews that we believe are:

False, misleading, or deceptive

Defamatory, abusive, offensive, or discriminatory

Spam, promotional, or irrelevant

In breach of these Terms & Conditions

Unlawful or potentially harmful

Businesses and individuals listed in the directory acknowledge that reviews may be displayed alongside their listing.
We are not responsible for the content of reviews or the opinions expressed within them and are under no obligation to remove reviews solely because a business disagrees with them.

Intellectual Property

By submitting content to Alcohol Free Directory, including text, photographs, logos, graphics, videos, and other materials, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, publish, distribute, and use that content for the purpose of operating, promoting, maintaining, and improving the directory.

You confirm that:

You own the content you submit or have permission to use it
The content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, or other legal rights
You have the authority to grant the licence described above

You retain ownership of your content.

Payments & Subscriptions

Paid listings are billed monthly or annually through Stripe on a recurring basis until cancelled.
You can cancel at any time through your account. Your listing will remain live until the end of the period already paid for and will then be unpublished rather than deleted.
If a payment fails, we may automatically retry collection. If payment remains outstanding, the listing may be unpublished until payment is successfully received.
We do not generally offer refunds for unused or partial subscription periods. However, if an error has occurred on our part, please contact us and we will review the situation fairly.

Featured Placement

Featured Placement is an optional paid enhancement available for active listings.
It runs for the period stated at purchase and does not renew automatically unless that option is clearly selected.
Once Featured Placement has gone live, it is non-refundable.

Acceptable Use

You must not:

Upload illegal, offensive, misleading, or discriminatory content
Impersonate any person, organisation, or business
Upload content that infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy, or other rights
Attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the site
Use the directory to send spam or unsolicited marketing
Submit listings that are not genuinely relevant to alcohol-free living

We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these terms without refund.

By Listing Your Business, You Agree That:

You are responsible for your listing content and for ensuring it is accurate, legal, and up to date
You are responsible for ensuring that any images, logos, testimonials, or other content you upload may legally be used by you
You are fully responsible for all dealings with anyone who contacts you through the site, including sales, bookings, complaints, customer service, refunds, and service delivery
You will not hold Alcohol Free Directory or Samantha Morgan responsible for disputes, losses, claims, complaints, or damages arising from your listing, products, services, or business activities
If a claim is made against us because of your listing content, services, products, or conduct, you agree to indemnify us for reasonable costs, losses, liabilities, and expenses incurred as a result

Not Professional Advice

Listings, including those within Support & Recovery and Coaches & Practitioners, are directory entries only.
Nothing on this site constitutes medical, therapeutic, legal, financial, or other professional advice.
Appearance within the directory does not mean that Alcohol Free Directory has vetted, approved, accredited, endorsed, recommended, verified, or guaranteed any business, organisation, service, or individual.
Users should exercise their own judgement and seek advice directly from appropriately qualified professionals where needed.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, mental health crisis, or other urgent situation, contact emergency services, your healthcare provider, or an appropriate support service directly.

No Guarantee of Availability

We work to keep the site running smoothly, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, secure, uninterrupted, or error-free.
Downtime may occur due to maintenance, software updates, technical issues, hosting provider problems, internet outages, third-party service failures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
We are not responsible for losses caused by downtime or service interruptions.
Where a significant outage affects a paid listing, we may choose to extend the listing period, but we are not obliged to do so.

Limits on Our Liability

We provide a directory service, not a guarantee.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of listing content
We are not responsible for reviews, ratings, testimonials, comments, or other user-generated content
We are not responsible for the actions, products, services, qualifications, conduct, omissions, or statements of businesses or individuals listed on the site
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
We are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities, reputation, goodwill, or data

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the site or services will not exceed the amount paid by you to us during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Suspending or Ending an Account

We may suspend, restrict, or remove any account or listing where we reasonably believe there has been:

A breach of these terms
Non-payment
Misleading, unlawful, or inappropriate content
Harmful, abusive, or fraudulent behaviour
A risk to users, the directory, or our reputation

Suspension or removal will not normally entitle you to a refund.

You may close your account and cancel your subscription at any time.

Content associated with unpublished listings may remain stored for administrative, legal, security, backup, and record-keeping purposes in accordance with our Privacy Policy and legal obligations.

Third-Party Services

The site may contain links to third-party websites or use services provided by third parties, including payment processors such as Stripe.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, policies, or practices of third-party websites or services. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and policies.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time as the directory develops.
The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will always show the current version.
By continuing to use the site after changes take effect, you agree to the updated terms.
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder will continue in full force and effect.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
