Alcohol Free Directory is run by Samantha Morgan (sole trader). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have, in line with UK GDPR. Contact: samantha@idinclusion.org.
What we collect
- Browsing the site: standard technical data (like IP address and pages visited) via cookies and analytics
- Listing your business: your name, business details, contact info, listing content, and billing details (handled by Stripe, not stored by us)
- Signing up for emails: your name, email address, and consent preferences
- Contacting us directly: whatever you send us, so we can reply
How we use it
- To create, manage and bill your listing
- To send renewal reminders and account notices
- To send you emails, only if you’ve opted in – you can withdraw this anytime
- To understand how the site is used, via Google Analytics
- To reply when you contact us
Cookies & payments
We use essential cookies the site needs to run, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand site usage. You’ll see a cookie banner on your first visit, and can change your choice anytime.
All payments are handled by Stripe, a secure, PCI-compliant provider – we never see or store your full card details.
Email marketing & how to withdraw
If you opt in, we’ll only email you things relevant to Alcohol Free Directory.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing samantha@idinclusion.org.
Who we share data with
Only the providers needed to run this site: Stripe (payments), our hosting provider, Google Analytics, and our email platform if you’ve signed up. Some of these are based outside the UK (e.g. the US), covered by standard legal safeguards. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Listing/account data: while your listing is active, plus a reasonable period after.
Marketing data: until you unsubscribe.
Billing records: up to 6 years, as UK tax law requires.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, or export your data, object to how it’s used, or withdraw consent at any time.
